The Final Event on the Calendar This is always a very special evening - a time to get together again after our September event and to catch up with old friends and enjoy a yarn! The evening starts with a photo session in front of the Bale Man with all the Committee and recipients of cheques with the iconic Goose Rock as the back drop. We then head inside the Bowgie for the actual presentation of the cheques to the representatives of the selected organisations / charities for 2017. As many of you will know we had hoped to reach the magic figure of £100,000 raised since the event began in 2000, and we are delighted to announce that we have done it!! We have waited until the Presentation Evening to announce this as it always takes a while after the event as we have money to pay out and money to come in!

The cheques were presented to:

* Tom and Jake - representing CLIC Sargent - our donation of £2500 went towards supporting children who have been diagnosed and are receiving treatment for cancer or leukaemia either at Bristol Children’s Hospital or the Royal Cornwall Hospital Truro, it will also help to support their families too.

* Gemma Hogg, Chair of Cubert School Governors - £1000 towards providing and updating resources in the school library. ………

* David Eyles, Crantock Christmas Lights Fund - £1000 to go towards the purchase and maintenance of our new Christmas Lights…………………

* Frank Cox Chair, Crantock Village Hall £750 -  towards a current project. …………

* Crantock SLSC and Holywell SLSC £500 each

* Crantock Parish Magazine and Cubert Newsletter - £250 each towards running costs. …

* Crantock Memory Café £500.

* Crantock Memorial Hall £500.

* RNLI Lifeguards £250 to help towards funding half term cover on Crantock Beach. ……………

* Crantock Toddlers Group £100………………………….
We would like to thank all our helpers, sponsors,  advertisers, the residents of Crantock plus the Old Albion, The Cornishman and The Bowgie Inn for their continued support and enthusiasm. Our thanks to Andy and Sally Pickles for hosting the evening and for providing such a wonderful buffet.
